Members of the Cornell Social Media Lab are interested in social behavior and technology, the impact of communication technology on well-being, and developing interventions that encourage prosocial behaviors. Some of our ongoing projects include digital literacy interventionsbystander interventions in cyberbullying, content moderation in online communities, mental health and social media, and privacy on social media and with emerging technologies. Our group has been actively engaged in outreach efforts, most recently through the Social Media TestDrive Project, aimed at improving digital citizenship skills among young people.
